E. Adell Dowdy is an active member of the ZNO Service Fund. She has distinguished herself as an outstanding professional administrator and educator. She earned a BA from Bennett College, Greensboro, N. C., and Master's Degrees from New York University and The City College of The City University of New York. Her career spans over thirty years of service to youth and adults.

She is a Board Member of Sister to Sister International Inc.; Ujamaa/Grace Community Development Corporation, The Women’s Leadership Institute; A Founding Vice President of the Board of Trustees of the AMANI Public Charter School, Mount Vernon, N. Y. She is a Deacon at Grace Baptist Church, Mt. Vernon, N. Y.

Mrs. Dowdy is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Zeta Nu Omega Chapter. She is married to Edward E. Dowdy, and they have two children and six grandchildren.
